One of the pianists with the best reputation in Spain Enrique Bagaria has been recognized worldwide as a prominent soloist, chamber musician and pedagogue.
Bagaria performed at the most prestigious festivals for in Spain such as the Ibercamera Season in Barcelona, the Albéniz in context music series, the Scherzo Foundation Music Series, Perelada Music Festival, International Festival of Granada, Young talents in Paris, Winners and Masters of Munich, among others. He performed as a soloist with major orchestras like the The Galician, Barcelona Valencia, Castilla y León Philhamronic Orchestras and with the Salzburger Kammer Philarmonie among others.
His next season highlights include a tour with the Vienna Symphony (VSO), and tour at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic in Russia among recitals in Spain and South America as well as continuing his active appearances in the major halls in Spain.
A prominent student of Dmitri Bashikirov at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid, Enrique Bagaria stand out in the musical world at the early age of 12 wining First Prize at the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati (1992).Since then, he has received numerous awards, both at national and international piano competitions: such as the first prizes at theInfanta Cristina Contest, Principat d´Andorra and Frechilla Zuloaga. Enrique got the Chopin award at the Vianna de Motta Competition and the Rosa Sabater Prize in Jaen and finalist awarded at the XVIth International Competition in Santander Paloma O´Shea, 2005, wich meant an important turning point in his career.
Enrique Bagaria was the first Spanish pianist to win the First Prize at the 52nd edition of the María Canals International Competition (Barcelona 2006), prize of the audience and prize as the best Catalan pianist.
Regulary defends the music of our days in his recitals and was choosen to record the integral piano works by National prize of Culture Jordi Cervelló. Amongst his latest record production, a CD together with violinist A. Bustamante for the Columna Music;.He has made recordings for R.N.E. and the Catalunya Music, both as a soloist and with different chamber groups.
Rosa Masferrer, Luis de Moura Castro, S. Pochekin, D. Bashkirov , Claudio Martínez Mehner and Galina Eguiazarova. His training phase was completed under the guidance of V. Suchanov at the Richard Strauss Musik Hoshcule in munich. masterclasses with Alicia de Larrocha, Josep M. Colom, Elisso Virsaladze, Leon Fleisher, Andrzej Jasinski, Ralph Gothoni, Vitaly Margulis and Boris Petrushnsky.
He is a faculty member the at the CSMA (Aragón High Music Conservatory) and the CSM of the Liceu in Barcelona.
