Nastasia Khruscheva

Nastasia Khruscheva is is one of the most prominent composers in St. Petersburg. A graduate of the St. Petersburg Conservatory Rimsky-Korsakoff is currently cursing her doctoral studies in composition under prof. Sergey Slonimsky and  writing her dissertation under the direction of Prof. Degtyareva.

She is a prize-winner of numerous young performers`competitions, including the Ya kompositor (I am a composer) competition (second prize in 1999, first prize in 2003). In 2007, at the international Three Centuries of Classical Romance festival competition, she won first prize for the best romance song bazed on Tarkovsky`s poems. In 2009 she became a finalist in the young compоsers` competition organized by Orfey Radio. In 2008 she studied electronic music at the Akademia Musyczna in Warsaw.

Khruscheva`s music is performed internationally. 

She is a resident composer at the Contemporary Past Music Festival in St. Petersburg.
