Pavel Raykerus
Graduated from the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory (class of professor A.Sandler). In 2000 he was awarded the diploma of laureate of the first prize of the Prokofiev International Competition for young pianists (Russia) and the European Culture Foundation “Pro Europe” (Denmark) - prize for achievement. In 2001 Pavel was a laureate of first prize of the Szymanovsky International Piano Competition (Poland). In 2003 he again was a winner of the Anton G. Rubinstein International Piano Competition (Germany). In 2004-2005 Pavel was awarded the Grant of St. Petersburg Governor and the diploma of laureate of the workmanship contest “Muses of Saint-Petersburg”. In 2004 he was named one of the eleven best students of higher education institutions of St. Petersburg by the “Afisha” magazine. On graduation from the Conservatory Pavel Raykerus was awarded the honorary diploma of the best graduate of St. Petersburg higher education institutions in 2005. In 2007 he was one of the winners of the I.J.Paderewski International Piano Competition (Poland). In 2009 he again is one of the laureates of the 10th International Piano Competition “Spanish Composers” in Madrid. Pavel Raykerus has done an internship in “Carl Maria von Weber” Higher Music School in class of Professor A.Zenziper and participated in international master classes in Germany, Netherlands and Russia with many outstanding musicians and professors including K.H.Kaemmerling, P.Paleszny, M.Voskresensky, S.Dorensky, P.Gililov, B.Berman, L.Naumov, H.Leigraff, P.Feuchtwanger, J.M.Huizing and others. In 2003, 2005 German television channel “Deutsche Welle” made two films devoted to the musician. Euro News Channel has telecast one of these films. Pavel Raykerus has recorded CDs, including chamber music repertoire and made records at the St. Petersburg Radio and Russia Radio. Over the past six years he regularly performs at the best concert halls of St. Petersburg – the Great and Small concert halls of the D.D.Shostakovich St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Concert hall of the Mariinsky Theatre, the St. Petersburg Academic Capella’s hall, the Glazunov hall of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, and others; Moscow – the Great and Small concert halls of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, concert hall of the Moscow State Philharmonic, concert hall of the Russian Culture Foundation and others; Surgut, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Suzdal, Orel and other cities of Russia. Pavel actively gives concert at the best concerts halls of Europe including the Concert Hall of the museum “Louisian” (Copenhagen), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Musikhalle (Hamburg), Semperoper (Dresden), the Concert Hall Frauenkirche (Dresden), Konzerthaus (Berlin) and others. In addition, he performed in various cities of Russia, Poland, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Czech, Denmark, Austria and USA. Pavel Raykerus places high emphasis on performance of chamber music as member of various ensembles. He has performed with famous maestros such as V.Tretyakov (violin), S.Roldugin (cello), “St-Petersburg Virtuosen” chamber ensemble (Hamburg), Grand prix laureate of the 13th Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow – Sergey Antonov (cello) and with young talented musicians. Likewise, he performed with chamber and symphony orchestras including the Moscow State Philharmonic Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Academic Capella Symphony Orchestra, the Rubinstein State Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland), Madrid Symphony Orchestra, St-Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Young Russian Philharmonic Orchestra and others. Pavel collaborates with conductors such as Vassili Sinaisky, Vladislav Chernushenko, Alexander Chernushenko, Alexander Sladkowsky, Vladimir Ponkin, Hobart Earl and others. Pavel Raykerus has participated in the most significant international festivals in Russia and abroad such as the “Square of Arts”, “Shostakovich through Centuries”, “International Conservatory Weeks”, “Young Academies of Russia”, “Spanish Evenings”, Contemporary Past “Moscow Autumn”, “Drei Klang”, Franz Liszt Kunstfest Weimar “Les Perelinages”, “Schubertiaden”, “Young Euro Classic” and others. Pavel is a participant of goal-oriented state programs of supporting young performers and composers such as “Prospection”, “Musical Elite of Future”. In the context of the programs, alongside with solo performances, he collaborates with representatives of related arts such as artists, writers and others. In addition, Pavel Raykerus has performed within the bounds of the official program of St. Petersburg Government “Presentation of St. Petersburg in Vienna”. In June of 2006, he was invited like student delegate by the invitation of Kennedy Center to the 45th Annual International Achievement Summit, which was held in Los Angeles, USA, and was the only representative of Russian musical higher education institutions. Currently, Pavel Raykerus is a facultu member at the Music Secondary School at the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory and is a faculty member of the high school of music in Daejeon (Korea).
